Harvesting olives in Italy can sometimes be very dangerous.

As you can see sometimes you even have to be aware of the geese. This picture is taken at Cresta Verde in Perugia – in the central Italian region of Umria.

As you can see the harvest for the new extra virgin olive oil has already started. Forst you have to spread out a net under the tree. Then the olives have to be picked manually before they go to the olive mill and are pressed to get the wonderfull extra virgin olive oil. A lot of work. But it is worth it.
