Carneval in Italy is more than Venice
Carneval in Italy is not only about Venice. In Foiano della Chiana in Tuscany they celebrate the Foiano della Chiana.
Foiano della Chiana is a tiny town in the Tuscan area of Valdichiana. Each of the four small borrows “borgo” builds its own float and creates a whole coreography with dancers and music around it.
The carneval floats are exhibited in a float parade for four sundays in a row. Every sunday is a street party for kids, adults and tourists. At the end there is a jury which awards the best float of this year’s carneval.
We went to see the carneval at Foiana. And we really think the jury has a hard job choosing one float. They are all great.
