Artichokes Italian Style

Winter is artichokes time. But I was always afraid of cooking artichokes, until my Italian husband`s aunt gave me this easy recipe:

Take fresh artichokes. Chop off all the outer leaves. Cut the stem, and the top of the leaves.

 

 

 

Put them head down in apot, add some olive oil, fresh herbs like rosmarin, parsley, Sage, thyme.

Cover them with aluminium foil in the pot.

Put the lid on the pot and let it cook for 30 minutes.

Try if they are done and soft.

Serve with some salt and frsh Olive oil on top.
