Did you know that in Milan you can admire Leonardo Da Vinci’s lock ?

Right in the center of Milan, not far away from the modern Skyscrapers in Piazza Gae Aulenti you can find a positing system built by the Italian genius Leonardo Da Vinci’s.

Today Leonardo Da Vinci’s lock is dry. But  a long time ago Milan, just like Venice had a lot of waterways. They closed them to fight Malaria (yes, there was Malaria in Northern Italy). And today we have only a few channels left like the famous Navigli.

Leonardo Da Vinci spent a lot of time in Milan. And he didn’t just leave the Last Supper.
