Bottarga (Botargo): Strange food from Italy
Category: Curiosities, Food, Italy, Tradition

Ever heard of spaghetti with bottarga (Botargo)?
It is one of the tastiest dishes in Italy. Botargo is a delicacy of salted, cured fish roe (fish eggs), typically from grey mullet or tuna.
Botargo has a strong, fishy taste and is simply grated on top of spaghetti or spaghettini with some Olive Oil Extra Vergine. It comes from Sicily and Sardegna and unfortunately is hard to find elsewhere.
