What a surprise, when we came to of Cortona in Tuscany for a photography exhibition. We walked through the narrow streets of this beautyfull little town, which became famous thanks to the movie “Under The Tuscan Sun”.

At the main piazza we were greeted by medieval drummers, archers and flag wavers. We couldn’t help but watch. Mostly young men and women showed off their flag waving and drumming skills infront of a great historic background of old houses and palazzi.

The old traditions are still alive in Italy.

The time left for the exhibition was a little less. But it was worth it.

We will be back in Cortona !
