Italian food: Poor food, but great food

Lentil-Pumpkin soup

There is a thing about Italian cuisine that makes it so different from French cuisine.

French cuisine is great, but expensive. Italian cuisine is cheap, but great.

And it is everyday like this. This picture was taken in a small lunch bar around the corner from work. Lunch break with lentils and pumpkin soup. Tasty. It costs 4,50 Euro and you have a perfect and healthy meal.

No fancy ingredients: Simple, but good. Or maybe good, because it is simple ?

By the way: If you are interested. This unpretending place is called Peter Bar  in Via Parina 9 in Milan.
