Italy: High school students line up to donate bone marrow
Category: Curiosities, Italy
A student in Alba has been diagnosed with leukemia. And half of the Italian high school is lining up to donate bone marrow.
The “Liceo Cocito” publishes on its website that 18-years old student Andrea has been diagnosed with leukemia and is looking for a bone marrow donor. The news is out on Facebook , WhatsApp .
And the response is overwhleming: Hundreds of people – students, families, other inhabtants of the small Northern Italian town – line up to give their sample. Hopefully one of them is compatible with Andrea and can save his life.
This is what we call good news.
