    Details

    Tasting Notes

    Garnet red color with good intensity. Complex aroma with hints of red fruit and spicy notes. The flavor is full and velvety with a lingering aftertaste. Due to its characteristics of structure and body goes well with meat dishes and cheeses.

    Climate

    The 2011 vintage will be remembered as a year in time out of the box, given the extreme alternation of the climate in different seasons.
    For a regular winter was followed by the high temperatures for the month of April, with consequent advance of the vegetative growth of at least 2 weeks.
    In the following months, the trend has heat alternating with periods of very high temperatures much cooler periods. During the month of August were recorded daily temperatures above 30 ° C, which have kept the advance of phenological stages of the plant, even thanks to the water reserves accumulated in the soil. As a result, the harvest began with about 12 days earlier than normal; the white grapes have very healthy balanced wines in alcohol, acids and aromi.Le red grapes in general have high quality wines, full, harmonic and very rich in color

    Winemaking

    The selected grapes were de-stemmed and crushed. Maceration lasted 15 days at a maximum temperature of 30 ° C.
    The malolactic fermentation was completed before the end of winter. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels of 75 hl and 50 hl and a small part in barriques. Further refinement in the bottle lasted 10 months and took place in the cellars Prunotto before shipment.
