Spelt is famous for being the food of the Roman legions who set out to conquer the world. However, its cultivation has been gradually decreasing over the centuries, supplanted by the soft and hard wheat with higher yields and lower manufacturing costs. Today spelt cultivation is often associated with organic farming and to attempt to raise the marginal agricultural areas, not suitable for intensive cultivation of cereal grains.

Product Description


    Legionnaire salad:
    1 tomato
    1 cellery
    10 basil leaves
    Balsamic vinegar
    Extra virgin olive oil


    1-put under coldwater minimum 12 hours drain and keep aside
    2-in a salad bowl start to cut in thin slice the vegies,add salt and pepper,extra virgin olive oil,vinegar,let macerate 5 minuts
    3-take ane more bawl with the spealt,add salt and pepper,4 table spoon of olive oil and start amalgamate,add the vegies and the cutted basil,enjoy


    1- Put 500gr of spelt in cold water for 24h (the day before you want to eat). Boil them for 1 hour in salty water; drain and let cool down.
    2- Finish with salt, pepper and olive oil (add a bit of chili pepper if you like).
